Madan happens to be a 'business consultant' who lends money to companies, corporates and individuals at exorbitant rates of interest and uses his might to recover them. Coming to know of their troubles, the rich Madan volunteers to help them and even lends money. Enters Madan (Prithviraj in Tamil Debut), a college mate of Archana, Madan gets acquainted with their family. In between, the couple falls in love and ties the knot. Along with Archana, he runs from pillar to post for loan.
He then decides to prove everyone wrong and plans to set up his own desalination plant based on the methods of his research. He eventually gets discouraged by the government authorities and even the State Minister. Meanwhile, Bhaskar, a research scholar in Chemistry, succeeds in coming out with a prototype of a desalination plant which he wants to give to the government and solve the water crisis in Chennai. Friends since their childhood days, the couple begins to live in a small house owned by Vivek in Chennai. But he ends up in returning to city with Gopika herself for she comes to know of the bridegroom's bad past in the village just before the marriage. His directional debut, ‘Lucifer,’ (2019) was a big hit.Kana Kandaen movie begins with Bhaskar (Srikanth) visiting his village for his friend Archana's (Gopika) wedding. His social drama film ‘Indian Rupee’ (2011) was awarded the ‘National Film Award for Best Film in Malayalam’ as well as the ‘Kerala State Film Award for Best Film.’ After a long run of success, his action adventure movie ‘Naam Shabana’ (2017) flopped at the box office.
The following year he starred in the historical drama ‘Urumi’. He played the lead role in the political thriller ‘Vaasthavam’ the same year for which he was awarded the ‘Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor.’ Sukumaran made his debut as a playback singer in the film ‘Puthiya Mukham’ in 2009. His next big success came in the Malayalam movie ‘Classmates’ (2006), which became the highest grossing Malayalam film of the year.
He made his acting debut in Ranjith’s romantic drama film ‘Nandanam’ in 2002, which turned out to be a huge commercial success. He has also worked in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu films. Indian actor Prithviraj Sukumaran is mainly known for his work in Malayalam cinema.
